"Kalana" is Barrett and Tara's award winning debut.  Also, the cd liner notes was a finalist which is a huge honor because it is compared to over 100 entries. Barrett, the author of the liner notes, included all the lyrics of the songs and a brief personal thought of each song that was enhanced with related Bible verses and testimonies of God's grace and Truth!  The original composition "Shine The Way" is on rotation and getting much radio air play accross Hawaii and has become a favorite to its people.  Other originals such as "Aloha Ke Akua" and "Forgive Me" are favorites amongst dance ministries accross the country and it has even reached Japan!

Here is a moolelo, a historical account, from one of our  Hulu Kupuna, a pristine, rare and cherished native. As a people, this moolelo connects us to our native source for clarity and understanding of our faith in the one true God. My Kumu, teacher, Kaipoi Kelling, has been sharing this moolelo which has inspired us to write this song which speaks of those who were first to proclaim the Truth!
