In 2002, Barrett and Tara was 5 years into a perfect marriage.  Perfect only to the outside world.  Behind closed doors, a storm was building strength.  The storm was fueled by lies, deceit, abuse, unfaithfulness, and everything else destructive to a marriage you could imagine.  Yes...everything!
When the storm hit full speed, divorce was on the forefront.  What marriage could withstand such a storm?  Barrett and Tara searched the world for any possibilities that would give them a chance to save their marriage and family (they had 2 children at the time 5 and 3 years old).  Each time they searched the storm got stronger!
After continued failure to find peace in the world, they decided to turn to something familiar to their ears, but unfamiliar to their hearts...forgiveness!  It is something they tried on their own strength which never lasted more than a moment.  This time they asked God to show them the way to forgive, and they found this way lasts for eternity! 
Jesus Christ became their focus and the storm they were in began to weaken.  It did not happen over night for them, it took hard work, commitment, and dedication to get healing from their past. 
Through this eternal forgiveness, their healing became eternal and restoration began in their marriage!  Restoration is a process in which took time.  Time that was well worth it!
All of this has created a miracle of a testimony being shared accross the globe through their message in their music.  There is no testimony without a test.  Barrett and Tara has their testimony only because of their surrendering to God and His powerful love and the hope He gives to all who have faith in Him!
